Heat detectors'combine both rate-of-rise and fixed temperature sensors in one unit
– Provides valuable, added protection in areas such as kitchens, mechanical spaces, and garages.
– Monitors temperature and prevents inadvertent false alarms that could be caused by smoke or dust.
– Signals an alarm only when ambient temperature increases 15° F per minute and/or if it raises above 135°F (57° C)

Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odorless, colorless, tasteless and highly toxic gas that is produced when fuels such as wood, gasoline, charcoal and oil are burned with insufficient air. The majority of residential fatalities are caused by heating systems, engine powered tools and charcoal grills. Large amounts of CO can overcome a person in minutes or slowly kill over a period of days —causing them to lose consciousness and suffocate.
